TELEPHONE ANSWERERING
ALIBIPHON VA 58 (1957)
The ALIBIPHON VA 58 of Willy Muller was manufactured by Fred. Merk Telefonbau, Germany.
It is the first commercial telephone answering machine that was approved for connection to the subscriber's line.
The ALIBIPHON is an answering only device, with an option to connect an external recorder for imcoming messages.
ALIBICORD (1964)
The ALIBICORD of WILLY MULLER was produced by ALOIS ZETTLER Germany in the 1960's.
It sends an outgoing message of 30 seconds and can record up to 22 messages, 30 seconds each.
A-ZET (mid 1960's)
The A-ZET answerer was produced by ALOIS ZETTLER.
It is an answering only machine, with option to connect an external recorder for incoming messages.
The tape cassette in the right picture is a tape loop for the outgoing message.
A-ZET C
A-ZET C is a new version of the A-ZET with a drawer tape loop cassette.
It was produced in the end of the 1960's and during the 1970's.
ALIBICORD 3
ALIBICORD 3 is the new version of the ALIBICORD. The outgoing message is with the same drawer cassette as in in the A-ZET C.
The incoming messages are recorded on a "Compact-Cassette".
ALIBICORD 34
A new version of the ALIBICRD 3 with new design.
All the controls are at the front panel.
(Mid 1970's)
PHONE-MATE 400S (1971)
PHONE-MATE 400S was the first Telephone Answering Machine that was marketed in the USA in mass quantities.
It was introduced in 1971, after telephone answerers were finally authorized to be connected to the subscriber's' line in the USA.
The outgoing message is recorded on a tape loop. The incoming messages are recorded on a reel to reel Tape mechanism.
SANYO M-139N
SANYO M-139N Telephone Answerer was marketed in the late 1970s and beginning of the 1980s.
It uses "Compact-Cassettes" for the outgong and incomng messages.
A counter shows the number of callers that left messages.
SANYO TAS 1000
SANYO TAS 1000 is a new generation of micro-processor telephone answerers.
There are more features, like calls screening and dictation capabilities.
PANASONIC EASA-PHONE
MODEL KX-T1418
A compact Telephone Answerer with two "Compact-Cassettes".
The micro-processor controlled system includes Remote Control capability.
SANYO TAS 34
A new compact telephone answerer with two
"Compact-Cassettes".
SANYO TAS 71K
The SANYO TAS 71 K is a digital Telephone Answerer with one "Compact-Cassette" for the incoming messages.
The outgoing message is recorded in a DIGITAL MEMORY.
From now on, the new Telephone Answering Devices are based on DSP DIGITAL RECORDING, which became the end of the magnetic tape recording era.
